Simona RANERI présentera une communication sur :

"Nanomaterials for Cultural Heritages : conservation and protection of natural stones. The experience of Nanocathedral Project"

Dr. Simona Raneri is a Junior researcher at the University of Pisa (UNIPI) - Dept. of Earth Sciences), where she is involved in the EU Project Horizon 2020 NanoCathedral (Nanomaterials for conservation of European architectural heritage developed by research on characteristic lithotypes - http://www.nanocathedral.eu/ ; Grant agreement 646178). At the Dept. of Earth Sciences of UNIPI she served also as lecturer of Applied Mineralogy. She got her Ph.D. in Earth Science cum laude at the Dept. of Bio., Geo. and Env. Science of the University of Catania in 2016 (Italy) ; for her thesis work, she received a National Prize bestowed by the Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology (SIMP) for the best Doctoral thesis in material science disciplines in 2016. Her main activity is focused on natural stone characterization and efficacy evaluation of nano-structured protectives and consolidants.
